Really Noob Questions(s)

Hi.

Ok, so what I want to do is set all the non-respawning (non-quest) containers in FCOM (mostly from OOO obviously, but figured it would be better to use the FCOM list) to respawn (things like Rune Banded Chests and so forth). So I open the FCOM_Convergence.esp in the 1.2 CS, and it spits out a couple of warnings about duplicate items, and says it will rename them if I continue. I'm assuming this is bad, yes/no?

All I want to change is just the respawn behavior of the Container list, how do I go about splitting that out of the main file? Is it even possible? (i.e. I wanted to make a separate override plugin just to be sure I don't frag the main .esp) It looks like the respawn behavior is just a toggle, so a no brainer there, just really worried about screwing up something unrelated.

I'm sure the answers to this are available somewhere, but I really don't even know where to look, the most I've ever done with the CS is tweak some Magic Effect Settings. Any tips here would be much appreciated.

I'm fairly sure you can't frag the main .esp unless you set it as the active file. you need to load FCOM (and any mods it says it requires) and just not set an active file. When you make the changes, you save as a new file. That file will be reliant on FCOM and change it, but if you remove the new esp, FCOM will go back to the way it was.

Someone please correct me if i'm wrong.

Allrighty, thats encouraging, thanks for the reply. :)

Anyone have a comment about the duplicate item thing? It's really freaking me out, and since the plugin obviously will load after the relevant mods I don't want to cause unintended changes. Heres an example:

Editor ID 'LK0WildernessSwampNormalSpider' (03000834) is not unique, previous object (02000F10) is type LVLC. Editor ID will be set to 'LK0WildernessSwampNormalSpiderDUPLICATE000'.

Continue playing
blah blah yes all etc.

Theres about 30 more of these for weapons, then some along the lines of:

Non-parent form 'fPerkSneakAttackMarksmanMasterMult' (000CD3F5) exists in both file FCOM_Convergence.esp and Oscuro's_Oblivion_Oherhaul.esp.

Continue playing, etc.

Then theres about a thousand more Non-parent warnings, relating to factions and gear and NPC's etc. I dunno if theres more after that, I just click yes to all. Seems right (after all, OOO MMM etc, thats a lot of changes), it's mostly just the Duplicate thing from the first warning I'm worried about.
