I know that there are 5 upgrade stages for equipement, the last 2 only accessible if you have spent a point in the perk associated with the specific material of the item you want to upgrade. Problem is there is no perks associated with Leather (And Iron for that matter) so is it totally impossible to get them past Flawless?

It would be a shame because I'm making a hunter type character and hunters don't wear bright elven armors and stuff, if I can't upgrade my armor past Flawless I'll be even more gimped !

scaled armore is a light armor better than elven and looks like iron armor. np. you can find it at lvl one on
