I agree 100%

This is easily the best game to come out in the past 5 years. You can do anything and its still not good enough.
I think the graphics are great for a game this huge, and the game never ends, and people still complain?

I have barely touch the main quest and i am already 20 hours into this game. I could just do the side quests for 100 hours and never do the main story and still be happy with this game.

Also the reason we are mostly seeing negative posts, is because most of us are PLAYING the game and loving it. I just come here when I am taking a break and watching TV to relax and see if I can help anyone.

I think 90% of people that play the game love it and cant put it down.

38 hours into the game and still barely scratched the surface of it all. That to me speaks volumes.

I'm an avid gamer, particularly with regards to RPG's. To me, Skyrim is the best RPG ever made, bar none. The Witcher 2 was outstanding, but it's comparably sparse (though great!) content just can't hold a candle to skyrim's huge flexibility. TW2 forces you to play Geralt(note: not a bad thing for that game, it allows more story depth) but Skyrim allows you to make your own story.

Now, that said, the UI is atrocious. Yes, it's not so bad when you learn to use it, but even as a console UI it's crappy. The perk selection screen is god-awful on any platform.

Still, even with the hideous UI weighing it down (seriously, Bethesda, hire a usability expert next time!) Skyrim is still IMHO the best game ever made, and that's really saying something.

Because people, ESPECIALLY ON THE INTERNET, love to [censored] and complain about everything that doesn't cater to their never-ending list of required features that's damn near impossible to actually fufill. And on top of that, everyone wants the game to be perfect for them. Some people are so selfish that they completely disregard features that are widly popular and constantly bash the game because of it. Just because one person doesn't like a feature, doesn't mean Bethesda's going to make your perfect game. Some of us actually like the game that was given to us.

Sorry about my rant there, but people are [censored] stupid sometimes.

Got two good questions

If you're not disappointed and are completely satisfied with the game you Bought, what makes you think there is something wrong with people who are NOT you, so much as to say they are spoiled, because they do not like the game as you do?

and In that, why do you care? a simple thank you beth would have sufficed.

This and, your right i'm completley satisfied to the point of where i can just accept the game crashes and savor the experience by NOT playing it thx for the fish bethesda

Dude, let them say what they want, those complains will give more the incentive to modder and we will all benefit from that.

What I don't understand is why people complain about other people's complaining, maybe it bother you THAT MUCH, but so far, I certainly enjoy reading every positive & negative feedbacks posted on this forum.

If you like TES, then I don't see how you can be disappointed in Skyrim. If you are new to TES and joined during the last year of hype, then I can understand why the game may not have lived to your expectations.

I know exactly what these guys are going through because it happened to me with Oblivion (the month before OB's release is the first I had heard of TES). If you are unfamiliar with the lore and try to powergame, the game will not be fun at all. I'm not saying you need to RP eating and sleeping everyday but if you try to make yourself uber by spamming skills you will be disappointed.

By knowing what to look for this time around, the game has so far greatly exceeded my expectations.

Some things about kinda annoy me but it's still bloody amazing.
I get annoyed how when thugs attack you in Whiterun the guards don't help you at all - in fact they run away like idiots. But if I punch a chicken the whole town goes into a blood bath and tries to murder me.

Yes! That was annoying, especially since I specifically planned to involve the guards (pure mage Breton, no armor). Fortunately, I could run faster than the thugs... after getting killed a couple of times as my very first deaths in the entire game. :(

I disagree, and this kind of thing really annoys me. I loved Skyrim to death, and I'll certainly argue with the people who didn't, but I respect their opinions, and I'm certainly not calling them "spoiled". Gamers aren't obliged in any way to like the game just because the devs put a lot of time into it. Bad games have lots of work put into them; are people spoiled if they don't like them? Nobody but contest winners have been "given the opportunity to play such a game as Skyrim". They paid 60 dollars, and, if they didn't like it, then that's 60 dollars they could have spent on a different game.

I'm not a professional writer, but I write, and I can tell you this for certain: if you can't take criticism, then you shouldn't make things for other people to enjoy. There's nothing (nothing, not even Reese's Cups) that everybody likes.

definitely not perfect
but what game is, especially one like this

do feel the overwhelming hate it gets on here from some people is just too much\
there's certainly points to criticize and opinions you could express
but some of the hissy fits i've seen people throw on here
the drama with which they act like this game is the worst thing that ever happened to them
or even personally attack the developers with such a seemingly intense hate

that's too much and frankly a bit worrying

Disappointed because the execution of many things was lazy, unprofessional, and not a quality product. If i sell you a chair with a wobbly leg on it, you should complain to me about it, not just 'appreciate that you have been given the opportunity to sit'. This is complacency at its lowest.

Most of the complaints I've seen strike me far more like ; "You gave me this awesome car but it doesn't have little extra feature x, so it svcks!."

There are little things here and there that my perfect game scenario would implement but I am very much enjoying the game. I was a little worried about combat because of some of the lack of reaction to attacks. But I've been surprised by the virtual weight of weapons, attacks, etc and the pc reaction to attacks that there are.

This game is great! There's so much content! I'm literally overwhelmed with so many quests in my journal. I guess some people don't like having options?

useless thread is useless.

you praising Bethesda is not helping them push themselves to create better games.

You know why Skyrim is much better than oblivion? It is because people complain.

I really like that point of view and try to have it but the way that they often treated me, I gave up on respecting their opinion, I will respect it if they earn it. but most simply earn disrespect from their actions. They get what they give.

It's a matter of taste. Someone who only listens to classical music isn't going to want to listen to... what? ...Master of Puppets not because they think Master of Puppets is a poorly made song but because they aren't into metal! I have a huge respect for the amount of time and effort Bethesda has put into this game, it's just so far not my thing and I guess I'm a little disappointed by that. I don't really want to go any further, I don't feel like getting into a huge argument over this.

My thought process as I read peoples' complaints about the game:
Muahahaha, they paid $60 to Beth for something they didn't like. Now people I disagree with are unhappy, while Beth is richer and closer to making TES VI!
