Help Please! Low Game Performance on Laptop

Hello everyone. I have tried my hardest to figure this one out and while usually I can get games working pretty well....Morrowind seems to not like my laptop. The game will load and run, don't seem to have any crashing issues. However the game only seems to run at 5-10 fps, depending on where you are and what is going on. I have turned all the settings down and running on the lowest resolution. I have a feeling the issue has something to do with my video card, but can't be sure. If anyone has some ideas, I'd appreciate it.

Laptop Specs:
MSI ER710
AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile 1.9 GHz
1.5 GB of RAM
ATI Radeon Xpress 1270
Windows XP SP3

Yeah, your video card isn't very good. Something that may help is opening up Morrowind.ini and tweaking the light settings. Go to the [LightAttenuation] section, change UseLinear=1 to UseLinear=0 and UseQuadratic=0 to UseQuadratic=1. That should help with the framerate and if it's too dark you can increase the value for QuadraticValue. Also, Morrowind's engine isn't very well optimized so it's very unlikely that you would get better than 20-30fps on your machine, no matter what you do.
