Greetings i have a question about my wife

?As your spouse is now living with you, you can ask him/her to cook food for you.
?You can ask your spouse to be your companion, you can ask him/her to carry your equipments and order him/her to either defend or attack your enemies

Since i play as a Argonian i married Shahvee from Windhelm. She moved in my house in whitrun and we are having a great time togheter.
But i have questions!

How do i use her as a Companion? I would love to see in Combat and i would be fun for both of us im sure but there is no dialog or anything to make her come with me on my adventures. She did open a shop were i could buy/sell stuff tho. So is the companion stuff based on who you marry? Or did they remove it or do you have to do something?

Any reply would be much appreciated.

I believe you can only take along your spouses as companions if they can originally be companions. In Shahvee's case, she's a mere dockworker and no fighter unfortunately

Question regarding Shahvee, I'm having trouble getting her quest.

- How far into the main quest chain where you?
- Did you do anything beforehand that may have influenced her quest?
- Was the quest available the first time you spoke to her?
- Do you remember the quest name or what was involved?

It's grating my gates that she's not giving me it, as all the other argonians are willing to take my hand, only there male.

- Did you do anything beforehand that may have influenced her quest? Maybe i did help the other argonians that was at the docks exept the one that is reparing weapons.
- Was the quest available the first time you spoke to her? No. i visited her many times before it was avaliable
- Do you remember the quest name or what was involved? Dont remeber the name. Its a misc quest and it has something to do with bandits and a stolen object

When i saw her i talked to her and the only thing i could talk about is "Are you always so happy" I did some other quests and came after a day and she still had nothing more to say. Sad i went questing again and after another day i came back and she finally had something else to say leading too the quest.

Where they Blood on the Ice, the companion quests or general Windhelm quests by any chance? Thats what some have said unlocked the quest in their experience.
