Strange "rapping" sound when playing

Post » Wed Nov 30, 2011 2:57 am

Also, my 5870s seem to be making a funny sound ever since the 11.3 driver updates whenever I'm playing a game. It sounds sorta like a fan clipping a piece of plastic, but it's definitely not the fan. It's an electronic sound. Anyone else have this issue?

Yes, I'm getting this funny sound also... I can't work out yet if it's when I'm being hit or when I'm firing a gun. It sounds like you say, I thought it was my speakers playing up at first but it sounds like something stuck in a fan to put it bluntly!

I have a Geforce 9800GTS with a Audigy sound card. I will try updating my drivers or rolling back them and to resolve the issue, if not it sounds like something wrong with the coding.

Its the fan. The axle bearing to be exactly. They get loose time by time.

Ahh! You are right, this has never happened to be before in any game, why is Crysis 2 causing my video card fan to make this rapping/scrapping noise? :-( How do I solve the problem other than buying a new video card?

Just tell Snoop Dogg to piss off and let you play the game.
