The limit of an assassin

Post » Wed Nov 30, 2011 5:18 am

Hi guys,

I just ask for your advice as an assassin for the Dark Brotherhood, I found it very difficult to fight against non-human creatures, not to mention the other dragons and trolls and giants.

So, if you have propostion strategies to allow an assassin to fight against such enemies or if you are a member of the Brotherhood managed to combine slicing throats in the shadow and fight against the creatures of Skyrim thank you for sharing your experience with me!

Thanks for all your reponses!!

Umm, what?

Archer is practically synonymous to assassin.

It's a vital part of any assassin's arsenal. Well, either archery or pew pew lazors destruction magic.

i find no difficulty in using the invisibility spell with high illusion and a masters robes with my flawless ebony dagger doing 30x sneak attack damage to kill almost everything in sight

i kill dragons with 2 sneak attack hits with it, at least the regular ones and blood dragons, i havent tested it on elder dragons yet

I agree with you on archery but the purpose of an assassin is to kill in one or two strike. He can also be an epic fighter, dodging again and again, hiting with a sword. But here we cant dodge a lot of ennemy's attacks

Level up Light Armour and One Handed dual-wielding. I'm a nightblade character, assassin with magic & no archery basically, and I've found it quite easy.

I’m a duel wheeling melee woodelf with a decent alchemy skill. My preparation for a boss fight (including dragons) is as follows

Equip best weapons for the fight depending on the foe. I have 3 glass weapons each imbued with a different enchantment, frost, shock and fire
Use a potion poison on each weapon to make enemy weak to that weapons effect. E.g. weakness to fire on the fire enchanted weapon.
Use a potion to increase my own armour or magic resistance depending on the enemy.
Cast a ward on myself and Lydia.

Level up illusion for invisibility, but in the mean time, load up on invisibility potions. Max out stealth first perk and get the 1-h perk which increases your 1-h damage. Also get all the stealth perks (the stealth forward roll is one perk is unarguably a must)
I'm actually going to retire my assassin because a) I level up too quickly and B) it's far too easy, as I one shot almost everything
