Awesome find! I never tire of this song. It's as moving today as it was nearly 10 years ago, even more so with her enchanting voice. :touched:

Lyrics:

In the light of the mist
Fairies beat their wings
Keeping time to the bard
As he sings of the past
And they frolic so lithely
Through silver-iced leaves
Keeping time

At the edge of the earth
Ancient tongues speak of prophecies
And they weave in the dusk
the strongest of spells
That shimmer green, crystal, blue
Pearl jade against the stars

My own "artistic critcism" would be to have her voice (let's say Azura) contrasted with dueling vocals of a baritone "Nerevar" to emphasize the emotional pitch of the original score.

[edit]

It was reminding me an exchange in Les Miserables between Cosette and Valjean (or was it Marius?), but I can't find anything on Youtube. :unsure2:

Good find. The lyrics are a bit random, but she has a nice voice.

Quite beautiful, ty.

Another for your consideration, I've posted it before and I make no apologies for posting it again :)

As Polish is a language foreign to me I find it a perfect fit for the stranger in a foreign land feel. The lyrics are captioned in English, I imagine to myself the song is about the actual world of Morrowind, chronicling that initial journey from bewilderment, isolation and hopelessness to understanding and accomplishment as the world and player combine in mutual embrace. My continuing sentimentality for this 10 year old game never ceases to amaze me :P

Nice find.
Polish is also a foreign language to me. I just imagine its a dunmer girl singing the song :D
My criticism tho, is she sounds quite rough. Nice work tho, always cool to listen to a familiar tune with an unfamiliar language :)

Beautiful quote. As am i. You know a game is a real classic when people are still discussing about it 10 years later.

I really like the harp and quartet versions. The Morrowind theme sounds great on flute and harp.

I agree with Miles_Acraeus wholeheartedly about the theme being as moving today as it was nearly ten years ago. Nerevar Rising can actually bring tears to my eyes today. I brings back so many wonderful memories: of things that happened in my life, in the game, in the community on the Morrowind mods forum back when the game was new. It's one of the most melancholy, majestic and evocative pieces of music I have ever heard.

Love it! This picture came to mind of several people sitting around a fire in the wilderness of Vvardenfell playing their instruments...

I'll probably be flamed for this comment, but as much as she sounds nice, she misses too many notes :P But great potential if someone would taught her a bit more.

This one is simply a slowed down version of the song but..... I think it has a much more atmospheric sound.

It is alright. Nice enough tone to her voice, silly lyrics, and she misses a lot of notes. Especially near the end she goes way off the deep end. It gets rather grating, actually.

But the beginning was nice. With a bit more work she could probably make this pretty cool. Don't really know if I like the idea of Nerevar Rising with lyrics, however.
