ION2 runs the game smoothly..... But there are a few problems I have run into(I am currently installing the patch atm so it could be fixed in that)

I'm not here complaining, I just wanted to point out that the ION2 runs the game on medium smoothly. ;D
Hopefully the patch fixes these.

The above is exactly what I mean. Bethesda didn't specify any particular CPU at all, although everyone with half a brain should know than neither an Atom nor a P4D will be sufficient.

Since the ION2 is an IGP, it cannot have any VRAM, but a G 105 or G 205 can have 512 MBs, and still not be a PRACTICAL choice for meeting any minimum.

Ok so basically, I'm not sure if my computer will play skyrim or not. I don't care about how good the graphics are
4 GB RAM
ATI Movility Radeon HD 3400 Graphics Card (2GB Video RAM, DX11 supported)

The member above created still another totally unnecessary duplicate to ask about a totally useless video card that would need to be replaced, if in a normal gaming PC, or since it's a laptop, the entire machine must be replaced.

However, once again, since the official requirement was written as nothing but nonsense, we'll eventually be seeing tens of thousands just like the Closer here.

Well that's awesome...65$ out the window when I was led to believe it should run on my computer, my weekend is ruined. I shoulda just got for xbox knowing that the PC Port would not work anyways.

And yes I got the info from SR Labs (canyourunit.com to be exact).

The PC he asked SR Labs about only had a Geforce 9300 in it, and given the insanity Bethesda displayed by not paying any attention to the System Requirements, if it happens to be a real card (very difficult to affirm), it might have passed the "Official Minimum".

Really dumb.

Hey do you guys think I can run Skyrim?
I have AMD Athlon™ II Dual-Core M320
CPU which is dual core 2.1 GHz
3.7gb of ram
AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Video card
And if it helps I can play games like Oblivion and New Vegas fine on my laptop so can I at least play Skyrim on low-medium?

That was covered already, here:

http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1264930-unofficial-will-my-pc-run-skyrim-thread-54-w-hardware-guide/page__st__20__gopid__19254397#entry19254397

Although the actual amount of VRAM is factually meaningless when attempting to rank performance, no known IGP chip has ever had its own VRAM on the motherboard, and an HD 4200 is just that, an onboard video chip buried inside of the Chipset. The latest AMD and Intel APUs and "Bridge" processors have both internal cache and graphics built in, so the video in those may perform better through some access to the cache RAM.
