New bug in "I Can Make You Care "quest. Please help.

Hello everyone!
I am hoping someone can help me with the wall I have hit trying to do the I Can Make You Care/Wild Card/Still in the Dark quests.
Before anyone complains, I have searched all day for any forum that mentions the problem that I am experiancing and I have not found anything. I have come across mention of many other bugs with these quests but not this particular one and I am getting so frustrated!

Here goes:

I was off doing the Wild Card "getting to know the tribes" quest when Veronica (I have her as a companion) says that she'd like to go home. I offered to take her there asap. She said that was fine.
I did the Great Khan stuff then I went to do the BoS stuff and found 4 of them wandering around Hidden Valley. Nothing happened. I thought to make I Can Make You Care my active quest in order to get something to happen and the only thing it did was make Paladin Ramos not attack me when I picked the lock and entered the door to Bunker L1. Instead, he says that Elder Macnamara would like to speak to me. I agree to go with him and am transported into a room that shows Elder Macnamara in front of me sitting at a desk. The cursor is on him so I go to talk to him and I am unable to start any conversation. When I approach him it says "talk with Elder Macnamara" but only makes the click noise when I go to do so. Also. as soon as I am transported to this room the quest entitled Still in the Dark starts. OK....
So I did a little research and found that both quests seem to contain some bugs but there is no mention of this. I seem to gather that what should happen is that when I am transported to the room, Veronica should go up to Elder Macnamara and speak with him. Only problem is......when I am transported into the room....she is not even there! The only people in the room are Elder Macnamara, Paladin Ramos (who, when I talk to him, tells me that is I have anything to say, I must say it to the Elder), 2 BoS security men who I cannot interact with and myself. I cannot even leave the room because both doors require keys.

So.....anyone else have this problem? I cannot figure out what to do or if I am doing something wrong. Please help. This is ruining my game! =(

*Can I just say that if this is not an undicovered bug or is happneing to everyone I did not mean to lead anyone on or claim any "fame" by stating it was new. Thanks. =)
