i joined the thieves guild but never recieved the armor i spoke to every person in the place, so i precieded to do the quests thinking it comes later or ill just get the better set later

turns out now i have to exchange an old piece of the armor for an upgrade but i dont have ANY!!

is there anyway to get the armor now or has my game bugged and stuffed me up?

I have had this same problem... it svcks...

Talk to the fence, she gives it to you. She's usually in the bar there. Also pay better attention! When you join, and talk to the two guys(one waiting in the middle of the big room, and you follow the other to talk to him) at the end of the conversation the guy says "go talk to "the fence who I forget her name" and she will set you up with your armor".

Op, do you not fence your stolen goods? How have you not talked to this lady!? There's only two ladies in the whole bar, vex or whatever her name is and the fence.
