Tight responsiveness?

I'm a big fan of ET:W and ET:QW, and I've got high hopes for Brink. Both of the ET games were great, but there was something about the controls in ET:Quake Wars that made things feel a bit "loose".. You'd hit the right mouse button to bring up your ironsights, and sometimes it would take a quarter of a second to do that. Sometimes it would take just long enough to think "oh it missed my click, I'll click again", and then it registers both clicks, and you pop in and then out of iron sights. It was very annoying. It was almost like very very light lag, or something...but it was not there in the original enemy territory.

I'm really hoping that Brink has been built in such a way that the user interface feels really responsive, not laggy, but "solid"... That it feels like you are the character almost, and not just making suggestions as to what the character is going to do.

So two questions:

1) Are all of the demos only using console style controllers, or have people had the opportunity to use a mouse to control the game?

2) What is people's experience with the control of the character? Does it feel solid? Like you are the character? Or do you feel a bit removed from directly controlling the motion of your character? Does it feel almost slightly laggy?

Cheers!

Had topic on this before, but glad you brought it up again!

So far the gameplay videos look as if the control feeling is alot like MW2. Which despite being a frustrating game, both look and feel is amazing.
All of the demos have been on console so far.

Just shoot anymore questions, I'll try to answer them :D

Cheers

The engines on which ET:QW and Brink run are the same. There were some issues with the QW engine and I'm absolutely sure that they said that they were able to fix this in Brink. Camera smoothness and character control should be as fluid as W:ET.

That's true. It's because they didn't want people being jealous on the guys who could play on the pc.

I was told they let the game run on PCs (one actually crashed so I could see it as well).
