I ran into the DLC not detected - load anyway (but won't load) bug.

I don't think it's a corrupted save - as it does not say it's corrupted. Apparently it thinks the DLC is no longer on the HDD and then it says the save device not detected or something.

It seems majority get this problem from the Come Fly With Me quest. In cases related to the space suit.

After the patch will I still be able to load my save, or is it one of those deals where "oh, it just won't happen again, but your save is useless, have FUN starting over!!" That's 33 hours gone. And I was playing on hardcoe + Very hard mode.

But the biggest question is when is this patch coming? If it's not going to be fixed until weeks later, I might as well just trade this game in for Fable 3 or something. I understand it's hard to give dates, but I (and a quick search on the internet, tells me many others) are having this problem as well, a game we spent 60 to 85 bucks for to be able to play day 1. At least you can give us a date so we know what to do with your product.

All they tend to say is "we're working on it" without giving specific details or timeframes. You shouldn't get your hopes up. Most of the major bugs were known about prior to launch, meaning they lack the means (or will) to fix them in a timely manner.

I speculate that they may already have a fix but are not going to release an update to repair a single issue. Instead, they'll wait until they have multiple problems resolved and then release that as a more complete patch.

The wait is most unfortunate I know but in the meantime I'll be leaving New Vegas and beginning a new adventure in Albion. :wave:

Ummm...I think the game loading DLC glitch is -far- more important than being able to create one lousy weapon...

But, bugs are bugs. Even the smallest bug is a shame. But in sake of priority - I think it's fairly important on Bethesda's part to make sure to patch the importnant things first.

lol i see tons of these same post's, hopefully they get the patch out soon.
