Create the 5th DLC!

Post » Thu Dec 01, 2011 12:11 pm

Alright, this is just for fun. Imagine, you're sitting at Bethesda Studios and say ''hey guys, why the hell aren't we making a 5th DLC?''
Since you're the one who mentioned it, you can do the whole concept yourself because everyone is out of ideas (or are lazy)
Here's the first thing that comes into my mind:
The 51 innocent
Description: The Courier decides to join the Mojave Express again to earn some quick money. And yet again, he gets a ''funny'' task: To deliver a small package to the ruins of Area 51. The problem was, A51 wasn't found since after the Great War. His task contains the exact location though. The 51 innocent takes the courier trough an epic journey to deliver the package across the dangerous ruins of Area 51, where he meets tons of military powers, dangerous enemies and highly radiated areas. Will he manage to deliver his package this time?
Enemies: Ghoul military (all kinds; from recruits to generals), aliens, military machines and much, much more.
Weapons: Includes 15 new weapons, some of them are returning from the first fallout game along with some new military tech weapons.
Clothing: Tons of new suits, but a highlight is the Nuke Suit. You won't become radiated for an x amount of time after accessing a radiated area, depending if you'll update the suit or not.

Now you.

Ok, but only if there are exactly 15 new weapons. If there's 14 or 16, I'm cutting all your funding.

Friend, no disrespect but sorry. Area 51 has been done to death by TV, Film, Games and even books. But for your idea of a DLC let me have a go...

Solace Reborn:-

Description:
The Courier discoves an underground tunnel that takes him through the mountains and out into a viberent jungle type world where plants grow over the old delapidated building and through the old world pavements. There he discovers a city of nature loving Ghouls called The Radient Family (or something equally corny) As he spends time with them he learns of another group of Ghouls on the far side of City who call themselves Dregs. The RF and the Dregs don't always see eye to eye however they live in a dependent peace. As they work together to defend themselves from not only a group of Raiders known as The Wastes (see what I did there? ;) ) but also groups of wild beasts, a move violent and more well equipt Bignorners who are almost twice the size but also twice as fast and blood lusting.

Task:
It is upon the couriers shoulders to decide the fate of the RF and the Dregs, He/She can kill the Bighorners and The Wastes freeing them of their dependency on one another. or He/She can kill only the wastes leaving the Bighorners to allow for the RF and Dregs to still co-exist.

Enemies: Ferral RF, Ferral Dreg, Mutated Bighorner Bull, Mutated Bighorner Calf, Mutated Bignorner. Wastes Raider, Wastes Raider Leader, Wastes Chieftan. Wastes Initiative, Wastes Warrior.

Weapons: 12 Bore - Unique Sawn off Shotgun, Dregs Axe - A lead pipe with half a sharpened hubcap welded on, Welding torch, RF Pisolero - Hippy design .44 magnum, Wastes Rifle - Zip rifle chambered to .223, Trench Knife.
Clothing: RF Robes, Dregs Combat Armour, Raider Buckskin, Raider leather cap, Wastes reclaimed Power Armour,

Well thats like a quick 20 min idea but i dunno needs expanding on. This is kinda hard you know, came up with a few ideas was like nope thats in FO3, thats in FO1 and so on etc etc.

Although OWB filled in the the camp B-Movie sci-fi quota, I think Obsidian would have done a good job with an Alien/Secret "Area 51" base themed DLC...

As for the OP I'm going to go the easy route and propose a "Gun Runners Armory" DLC that will add different types of Armor and clothing variants to the shop lists, particularly Non-Faction variants of Faction armor and an addition of various clothing types like Gambler's, Pre-War, Caaravan, Formal Wear Bounty Hunter Dusters etc. so I don't have to murderlize or RPP random NPCs just for their gear!

How about a fix for the Grimy Pre-War Business Suit and maybe some Non Dirty/Grimy variants of the pre-war business suits. Also, non-unique variants of Unique NPC outfits, like the King's "Viva Las Vegas" suit, Ambassador Croker's Suit, etc. So I don't have to pull silly shenanigans to get their outfits either.

Nice ideas for mods. Now get started on them they're not going to make themselves, because that's the only way you guys are going to see a fifth major dlc. :violin:

Why have a fifth when there are plenty of content adding mods made and being made.

because not everyone plays on PC, nor can everyone afford to purchase the PC version or have a PC that can run the game, that answer valid?
