Fallout Series Locations by State

Post » Sun Sep 20, 2009 11:09 am

Ok, so I've only played 3 and I need a little help here. I want to compile a list of Fallout series locations by U.S. state. Like this:

Washington, D.C.: Capital Wasteland
California: New Californian Republic

Can any Fallout vets gimme a hand?

If you really want to keep a list that's as true as possible, I'd try the Fallout Wiki if I were you. Otherwise people can argue about it forever, for instance: "Arroyo is in California!" "No, it's in Oregon!". It could go on forever. If you have any doubts when looking at the Wiki, I'm sure Ausir can help you out.

But to get you on your way:

Fallout 1:
California:
Shady Sands (NCR in Fallout 2)
Vault 15
Vault 13
Junktown
The Hub
Mariposa (Military base)
Necropolis
The Glow
The Boneyard
The Cathedral

There are some more, but I haven't played FO1 in a while.

Hi. Found some links to maps that may help you out. I'm not a US resident so I don't know what their present day counterparts are. But I'm sure someone will come along a little later and post a more detailed list. You could look over these in the meantime. :)

Basically I just wanted to know which states have already been "covered" by the series. This would include Cali, Oregon, Nevada, Washington DC, part of Virginia, etc.

Almost all of Cali.

Little bits here and there of Oregon and Nevada.

DC, and bits of surrounding states (maryland and Virginia).

Alaska will be kinda covered in the first DLC (but as a simulator).

I dunno which state Pittsburgh is, but thats DLC x2

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Image:FO1_WorldMap.jpg Undisputedly California, the city near the coast is Los Angeles.

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Image:FO2_WorldMap.jpg North of Fallout 1's area. However, it kind of overlaps Fallout 1's world map. You can see Vault-13 and Vault-15 from Fallout 1, and NCR (New California Republic, formerly Shady Sands). The Mariposa Military Base is also there.

Fallout 1 is all in California. Fallout 2 is in California, Nevada and Oregon.

Fallout Tactics IIRC covered Illinois, Missouri, Kansas and Colorado.

Van Buren (the canceled Fallout 3 by Black Isle) covered Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico.
