player, randomly lifts gun overtop head numerous times a min

Post » Fri Dec 02, 2011 6:51 pm

the title says it all, i pay over 100 dollars for fallout collectors eddition, and collectors strat guide thinking this game would be freak amazing, i almost have the retail 1000g for the 360 and i start a new game to do the ncr quest line, as soon as i start a new game...glitch after glitch starts, like the game caught a virus.

i walk around with almost any type of rifle, and my guy lifts his gun over his head and drops his arms, multiple time, but i switch it to third person, he doesnt do it. if i am weilding a pistol or an energy weapon, he does not do it.

but as soon as i pull out the assult carbine he goes into mental retardation mode and acts like hes a [censored] toy soldier walking through a bowl of milk.

this game is GOD AMAZING dont get me wrong, but considering....fallout NV basically id fo3 same engine, same everything, youd think there would be less bugs, i mean oblivion didnt give me this much trouble when it came out.

Bethesda, please fix this. its hard to get the full effect of a highly anticipated game when my [censored] character thinks hes a toy soldier from sarges heros.

thanks for reading my thread everyone. also, if anyone has any questions regarding the game, as of looking for unique weapons, remnant armor, finding actual enclave hellfire armor and some other cool stuff send me a PM and ill post a topic:)

i just farted...you can actually taste it....onions......onions and ketchup

Same problem here. When in first-person holding a rifle my arms fly up every now and again. Doesn't happen in third-person. Also sometimes my character seems to start spinning slowly on the spot, usually diagonally-down to the left. Tried switching controllers thinking it was a controller issue, but apparently not. These are quite small bugs compared to the myriad of issues other users are having, but I'm sure these could easily be rectified and aid in polishing up this rather rushed game.

Me as well. I started a "Gun Flipping" topic before I saw this, and it's true...it only happens with two handed weapons. I wonder if it's just a 360 issue?

It makes for some very suspicious gun play. You never know what YOU'RE gonna do.

I'm having the exact same problem where my character keeps raising and lowering his arms while holding a rifle, it may not be a show stopper but it's bloody annoying all the same.

I have noticed this too, but didn't notice that it was only happening with two handed weapons.

I get this sometimes. If I stand still it goes away. It seems a lot more minor than not being able to load my saves.

It tends to happen to me when in sneak mode, a major immersion breaker.

I can confirm the same thing on PC I think its related to another bug I get basically two things happen with the other bug, first my reloading of a weapon is silly fast, like instant and if I "holster" while moving guns end up upside down and inside my character. I found this thread by searching, my thread in the PC problem section is being ignored.

It's not just two handed weapons. I have had this happen with both my laser pistol and plasma pistol.

I can tell you that I got this bug right at the start... I can also tell you that it didn't matter to me one little bit...

But the DLC bug... That's a different thing all together!

Also had this bug from the start, didn't care that much. The biggest annoyance for me with this glitch was if my arms and gun stayed up for awhile, even if I changed my gun. I would open my Pip-Boy and nothing showed up on the screen because my arms were high in the sky. If I could see the bottom of my Pip-Boy I would change my weapon, and it solved the issue. I like to sneak around and I agree that it seems to happen while sneaking more.

This is a complicated issue to deal with, so bare with me as I outline the steps to fix it.

Step 1) If your arms do this move to a more level area, or an area where you're not surrounded by geometry.
Step 2) Have you performed step 1? Good, now listen closely...

turn your toon 360 degrees left or right.

Oh wait, that wasn't so complicated I guess.

And for the record, yes I am a jerk.
