So I got all these poisons in my inventory. I have the pickpocket perk which allows me to put them in peoples pockets to poison them....is that all?

Is there something I'm missing here? Is there a way to add a temporary poison buff to a weapon with a poison potion?

Try gearing a Bow/Arrows, Sword, Dagger...etc
Can apply the Poison to them before attacking.

Pretty much.... after gearing weapon.... select the Poison in Potions, should pop up with a window asking if you want to Apply it to the weapon....click Ok.... go back and attack.

I'm not sure about the pick pocketing, but to apply to a weapon you must have a weapon equipped, then click your poison of choice and it'll prompt you to choose yes or no to apply.

To poison your weapon, click on the desired poison. There will be a pop-up asking if you want to poison your weapon. Oh, and by giving the poison to NPCs you're letting them do that too.

What's the longest you can have a single poison on a weapon? Or the highest amount of times you can use a poison? Or is it always one hit and the poison is gone?

I've noticed that the weapon remains poisoned even after a few hits, so I think there's some kind of counter on the duration of the poison. Nothing I can say for sure though.

@OP: Yes, do it in the inventory. First equip your weapon, then go to the Potions menu and select the poison.
