"Psycho"... Really?

Post » Sat Dec 03, 2011 8:45 pm

Is this skill kill really to kill 5 people in the short succession that is allowed? If it is, then I don't see myself ever getting this one, and since I'm an achievement whore, it saddens me that I only need one more to get it. I've had quite a few triple kills, but five just seems ridiculous with the amount of bullets it takes to kill someone in this game, and the amount of bullets in a single clip. The sniper seems like the best bet as with extended mags it can shoot 11 times before reloading, but even then, people move so fast that it'll be pretty damn hard to hit every shot. Just wanted to see if anyone has been able to get this one, and if so, what was your strategy?

It seems a lot harder than it is. You can string the kills out over several seconds.
kill one person, reload, kill another, reload, kill another. It seems as long as you keep hitting targets the counter doesn't stop. I know i've had a couple 4 streaks that probably lasted 30 or more seconds. Plenty of time for enemies to run back

I've got nothing to say on this situation except that I've yet to stay alive to use anything other than Maximum Radar....... Apparently being rewarded for accuracy in aiming is a thing of the past. Cause I'm too busy dying right after I get 3 dogtags..

As far as I know you have like three seconds or so, maybe two, between kills.

Basically, five kills all two seconds from each other. Not AS daunting a task as one might think, you just need to eventually find yourself in the right situation to have your shot.

With achievements of this type I like to think of them LESS as a test of skill and MORE of a test of how well you can think on the fly. When the opportunity comes, the extremely rare opportunity, to string these kills together, will you recognize it and make it a reality in time? If you CAN then you get the achievement.

I am an achievement whore myself, I actually rebought a copy of Tenchu Z to max its gamerscore recently. (That game is NOT easy to max gamerscore)

When you get to these achievements you just gotta let yourself lay off with the knowledge that all you need is to stick with it and stay sharp to have your chance, whenever it comes.

Maximum Nanosuit is your best bet coupled with a machine gun and very neatly placed enemy spawns, either that or playing crash site against idiots who huddle together for protection.

Don't you DARE make fun of cuddle parties. They are an important part of learning to trust a new team.

It wouldn't be so bad if the killstreaks counted for it.

I am the same way I'm all about the achievement but I've come to notice that when I try to focus on a single challenge or achievement I almost never get it lol... just take your mind off of it and it will happen eventually while playing.. just need to wait for the situation to occur...

ive yet to get to the level to unlock the skill kills challenge.. would a grenade killing a few people and then shooting a couple more count towards that challenge? that might be one way to do it... or find a nice spot with a sniper rifle and just wait for some people to run by and pop their heads like pimples :P

It's easy enough to get a killtac/exterm in Halo and that game has 10x longer kill times. A good sniper could do it in the right situation, you could also do it with the Scar and a nade or two. Really, it's rare, but difficult achievements are what make achievements worthwhile.

THIS!

Achievements aren't achievements anymore. I mean, why are there achievements for COMPLETING LEVELS?! It makes no sense. Two Heads are better than One, that's an achievement. Not to hard but you still need to be reasonably good at the game to get it.

I've gotten triples before even unlocking my custom classes, stop whining. This is easy in Crash Site and Capture the Fla- Relay... Just go and defend the Relay or C4 a Crash Site, done.

Your best bet would be to play on skyline. when you get the orbital strike use it when u see a cluster of enemies and pray you get around 3 or 4 kills with it then the last 1 or 2 kills just sweep the remaining survivors. Thats how i got mine twice in the same match :D

Yeah, svcks that killstreaks does not count towards it as mentioned above. I got 5 people with one Orbital strike :/ so unlucky.

All I can say is try out this website: http://www.trueachievements.com

I use it primarily for co-op achievements like those on Gears of War & Red Dead Redemption but I guess you can use it to set up sessions and boost up to lvl. 50 and skill kills as well.

I have about 2 to 3 Relentless skill kills......so that's close.......it would be closer too if the connectivity issues were worked out.
