Is there a way to turn off Active Spells...

Hi, I am playing as a customized Assassin class which I've named Dark Archer. It's essentially a Wood Elf with Agi and Speed, Thief Birth Sign, with Marksmen, Sneak, Light Armor, Alchemy, Illusion, Armorer, and Blade.
It's a stealth based game play type char, where I sneak and use bows to get 3x sneak dmg at ranged.

One of the reason I've wanted Illusion is for Chameleon and invisibility, as well as Night Eye spells. Very nice to have. But in practice, I'm annoyed with Night Eye.

I've joined the dark brotherhood and via the NPC seller there, I've purchased the best Night Eye spell in the game due to the duration, called Void Gazer.

My question is if there is a way to turn OFF the active spell , once I've casted it. There are times I welcome it. But then there are other times (such as emerging back out in daylight.. where it ruins the game colors , due to it's effect. Is there no way to turn off the Void Gazer once casted? do I have to wait until the spell timer expires?

Thanks, Zanatar.

I meant more via the game interface. Since this means tracking down a spell I suppose. Or making one (which I can't, as I haven't done the mage guild quest line yet. )

Is there no other simpler way, like actually turning it off via the interface. I'm hoping I'm overlooking it and was hoping someone would reply and say.. yeah just hit THIS .. or something like that.

Thanks, Zanatar.

This is one of the reasons I prefer that spells like Night Eye and Detect be enchanted onto a piece of clothing or a ring. Then you can turn the effect on and off by simply equipping or unequipping the item.

I don't know of any way to do what you are asking (disabling the cast effect via interface).

I actually make all my utility effects as 120 second spells (prefer spells to rings for RP reasons). When my character is done with the effect, she casts a dispel 100 on self. I know that is not what you had in mind, but I do find it works well. You could also try making a dispel potion as well. My character carries those for when she gets silenced and can't cast the dispel effect.

When you get a dispel spell, just hotkey it.

1. Mix your own. Bergamot Seeds and Ectoplasm at Apprentice Alchemy (also Aster Bloom and Gummite Eggs from SI). At Journeyman level, you can also use Mutton, or Graqes.

2. Reflect Spell. Use gear like Mundane Ring, Spell Breaker, Ring of Sunfire, etc., to make those casters "silence themselves." :)
