"Ignore normal weapon resistance" is broken?

Post » Sun Dec 04, 2011 4:24 am

Hello,
I've heard and read on Wiki that this weapon's function is broken after patch 1.5 (and later). Does that mean that - for example - perks relating to energy and fire resistance are useful no more?

Is that broken permamently or it works still when you check resistance window however (what means that the weapon damages normally, without ignorance + resistance type?).

How do modders bypass that if it is really broken?

I don't know if it is broken, but when I want to make weapon "armor piercing" I set weapon type damage to "none"

It is broken. I have a mod that fixes it for the Deathclaw Gauntlet. I use Object Effects.

Yeah, I saw the topic so probably i will go the same way.

I hope wiki is not wrong about that this broken parameter only goes about Armor Rate, not the whole summaric DR. I just think of how really "reduce damage resistance" works - it lowers full Damage Resistance from the formula ( -shortly- AR + DR) or only DR factor.

If it's a custom weapon and uses Object Effects, be sure to set the original damage to 0. Else you will do double damage. I use FOSEs SetWeaponDamage commands to make it look like the weapon does 20 damage in the menu.

I can't use FOSE, but i'm not sure what you mean as well. Original damage to 0? Then how would damages be caused? If your EnchLaser makes "reduce DR = 30" how it goes about damages which are ie. set to 30 (Energy resist)?
Can you clear me please (jpg form GECK for example)?
