Quest breaking glitch in "I Put A Spell On You" ques

So, last night I was trying to finish the "I Put A Spell On You" quest. I got to the last part where you have to disarm the bomb on the monorail from the NCR base to the Strip. I found the bomb, had sufficient explosives skill and science skill to defuse the bomb AS WELL AS the deactivation code. I tried both methods of disarming the bomb, even got credit for finding and disarming it, but still, the monorail took off and exploded down the track. When I returned to Colonel Hsu, the only dialogue option I got was "The Monorail is destoryed", despite having deactivated it. It doesnt let you claim the quest is over unless the monorail leaves the station. I learned this by trying to fast travel out of the monorail station before it left and FTing to the entrance of the NCR base then going and talking to the colonel, thinking it might help bypass the glitch.... I was wrong.

If the developers read this, please look into I Put A Spell On You, as the monorail is my only way of getting onto the strip. After I found the Brotherhood of Steel bunker and started working for them, I became unable to access the strip through the main gate in Freeside. I kept getting a message stating that I needed a key despite having a passport. Seriously, you need to release a massive fix patch for New Vegas. FO3 didnt even have these many problems.

Also, I would like to report one more bug. In the train tunnel south of the Boomers compound at Nellis Airforce Base, a section of the tunnel isnt really there. There is a side room with a feral ghoul in it. When I tried to enter the room, my character fell through the ground and was teleported to the end of the tunnel.
