When will the industry learn that the only people they punish with their convoluted installations are the paying customers?

What happened to putting your game on a disc, giving a 16 digit security code to type in and then onward????

The rest of these installation woes does nothing but piss off the people who pay and are law abiding while the pirates simply hack the game and go play anyways - you cannot stop piracy if they are determined.

Ethical people, like myself, do not download music, burn cds for friends (music, movies, games) or otherwise break the law and steal. We are the ones punished by this crap like Steam and the current 2 hour install on a store bought disc.

I'm tired, angry and incredibly frustrated. This has nothing to do with a programming/coding error that is in the game itself - the frustration is completely, 100%, caused by Steam and Bethesda.

Uh, Steam is great and it does not take 2 hours to install with the disc... you load up steam then install from cd it takes just as long as a normal version.

If you have just installed steam for the first time... then you should restart steam BEFORE installing the game or it will download from steam and not install from the cd.

You do get the satisfaction of not regularly installing viruses, put together by the same experienced hackers, onto your computer.
