Shouldn't you be stronger when you feed blood?

I just don't understand 1 thing in elder scrolls games: As a vampire you should get stronger the more you feed right? Well, why does the opposite effect happens? You loose most powers when you feed? Really annoying especially you can't walk around the city looking 4 days due. Any tips playing as vampire?
Also how is the game playing with werewolf? thanks

No, you shouldn't.

Mainly because in TES lore, the less you feed, the more undead you become. You become a monster, and the curse takes a larger effect on your body, mind, and spirit. That's the way it's always been in TES. If you feed, you suppress the curse, becoming slightly more human.

Just because it works differently in other things involving vampires, doesn't mean it works the same way in TES.

Being a vampire in Skyrim is more a nuisance than anything. I found the Werewolf ability useful, although I only have it on a level 10 redguard, not sure on how well it scales (I'd imagine rather poorly).

It's not the way it's always been in TES lore, and I and many others consider this to be an absolute farce. Vampires didn't work this way until Oblivion, and the Oblivion vampires had HIGHLY unique circumstances. Not to mention how out of place it is to essentially reward players for not feeding.

Really, I didn't know that.

And I don't see it as a reward. I dread not feeding, due to every friendly NPC turning less and less friendly the longer you go without feeding.

Check out the lore on the Vampires of Cyrodiil, and the deal they made with the Daedric Prince Clavicus Vile.

One reason that people are upset about the way vampirism works in this game is because it's almost just a simple copy and paste job.

Wish it was he other way around or atleast more helpful, as a vampire the negatives greatly outweighs the positives in my opinion, especially on the 4th day. Yea, ,werewolves from what I've read is much easier and more rewarding. Also there should have been a way to drink blood while in stealth mode, it is so much hard to drink blood in the city and find someone sleeping as the guards sleep. Just have a charm smell or something that works overtime and use it to drink blood?
