Yes, yes, yes... Fallout 1/2 were amazing games. You should definitely play them.

Why not? They're great games and even if you get New Vegas, you can always pick up the old ones after you're done playing Vegas.

Buy them, it's not a big decision they're cheap. I got 1,2, and Tactics on eBay for $10.

Really you need to be able to use all the weapons at your disposal to be the most effective that being said there is nothing more badass then melee kills. In my humble opinion.

and how does this have anything to do with this thread?

wow, that was weird,i commented on this post and it dissappeared

Definately get them, they are classic games! They will also really help your understandings of the fallout world.

You should play the first two originals first before New Vegas. Since NV will be taking place back in the area near the West Coast, playing the classic games first will help you enjoy the story better and helps you get an idea about who are the NCR and the Unity.

And they function properly. Can't say the same for New Vegas.

FO1 and 2 are pretty cheap, and they're great games.

Some are turned off by the turn-based combat, but if you can get past that, the story and characters are great, and the setting is good too.
