I am on PC, I have looked over the instructions and I would guess that if I have a spell equipped in either hand that to cast it I would use my mouse buttons like a weapon but when I click the mouse buttons nothing happens, the hand jumps a little and that's it. Z also does not work. I am in a little ways in level 3, I have been hitting things w/ a stick up to now but I would really rather cast spells or scrolls. The booklet doesn't give any special key as spell casting and I am being driven nuts by this. I am sorry if it's a dumb question but obviously some people know, please share.

I do play on PC. Hold the button for a couple of seconds before releasing.

Keep your finger on that button buddy! As for the 'z' key,I had difficulty with that too,from the manual it seems to state that your unique race power automatically binds to that key,but Im sure it doesnt,I think you might have to do it yourself through the 'magic' menu.

I did that but I end up dead having done zero damage but I'll try it again.

Go into the magic menu, and use F to add the spells to the favourites list (Q)

When you bring up the menu by pressing Q you can use the number keys 1-8 to assign weapons or spells to hot keys. You can also manually select the spells by clicking. The marker will indicate what hand the spell is equipped to.

Equip the spell like you would a sword. For the starting spells you continuously shoot fire when the mouse button is held down. If you equip the same spell in both hands it will be more powerful, but you will need to hold L+R mouse buttons at the same time
