Will Oblivion utilize my quad core?

If not, is there a way to make it use my quad core cpu?

Nope. The game barely makes use of more than one core. No way to change that either.

So it's better to have a fast dual core over a quad core that isn't as fast? My core2duo is an e8500 @ 3.16GHZ and my other cpu is an i5@3.2GHZ.

Don't think you'd see much performance difference between the two.
