orcs are gods!

I freaking love the berserker power that orcs have. i can beat almost anything (dragons, giants, mammoths etc) so easy with it. i don't understand why people don't choose to play as orcs if they want to do high levels of melee damage. the only downside is that they have no ability's :/ but oh well i just love duel-wielding weapons and beating the hell out off monsters and bandits. p.s i just want to let everyone know orcs are the best melee class ˉ\_(ツ)_/ˉ (kanye shrug)

I'm pretty sure most people realize that they're the best straight-on melee race. The problem is roleplaying and wanting to do more than just melee. For instance, for my warrior-esk type, I chose a Breton. I also use alteration. Which means with my 25% resist magic racial, 30% spell block and 30% spell absorption from alteration perks (without having to use a power), I rarely get hurt by spells. And with heavy armor and a shield, physical damage doesn't really do a whole lot, either. AND I can look at my character and think "I'm proud to be this normal looking person." Again, it's all in how you want to play or think about your own character. I've never been able to play an orc simply out of the dislike for their appearance.

Edit: I am happy to hear you're enjoying them though

You may find it wise to play the Slayer song "Raining Blood" to maximize your damage output while playing an Orc. Looping it over and over is suggested.

Holy dog doodie. Did they buff berzerker rage? i mained an orc in oblivion, and I don't remember it being this effective!

Half damage taken, double damage dealt? Yes please!

Also, make your orcs with the dreadlock hairstyle. That adds to the awesome!

Rocking full heavy armor in mine. With the tusks jutting out from beneath the helm, it looks absolutely badass. Orcs ftw

Dual wielding is pretty cool. I do it on my bosmer sneaky bowman with daggers.

But because of all the sneaking, I really had a HUGE urge to make a heavy armor / two handed
orc warrior. Battleaxe.

Feels good man.

My Orc is unstoppable when he's enraged. All I need is enough stamina potions to keep shoving my greatsword into the skulls of my enemies.

The only problem with berserk is that after I get done killing an entire dungeon my vision is blurred for another 30 seconds.

They aren't anything special except once a day. No one is going to rest 24 hours after every fight.

Heheh. I first made a Bosmer archer type character thinking thats what I wanted to play as. After awhile I wanted to see how battles went without all the creepin along. Got my Heavy Armored Orc warrior, wielding a Greatsword, and im LOVING IT!. Soo much fun to run up to a group of guys (after sneak dispatching one with an arrow :)) and just cutting them down. The impaling death animation with the greatswords are so badass too.

And as for the appearance, I love it too. The bloodred eyes, battle scarred orc looks crazy good.

Pro-tip: activate Berserk and then immediately turn on beast form. It's awesome.

I recently acquired the Executioner's axe in Solitude which is a pretty good weapon for an orc to 2-hand with. 31 damage, 11 weight. Compared to, say, 29 damage and 25 weight for a steel warhammer. Plus it looks pretty cool.

So true! The first time I went berserk I was seeing red long after all the enemies were pulverized by my warhammer.

I went with an Orc Spellsword. Yeah, I could have better magic abilities with the Altmer racial, but a) I don't like the elves in TES games, and B) having a strong melee ability to fall back on when things go hairy is awesome, especially with destruction damage kind of slipping behind a bit atm.
