I have the whiterun house and one in Solitude. I want a chest for Food, armor and weapons, ingrediants, misilanious items and potions. This especially svcks in Solitude. I have armor and weapons in a barrel, ingrediants in a barrel which are both in a different room than the enchanter and potion maker, food upstairs. So when I grab all of my ingrediants which over weigh me it takes a minute to get to potion maker. Makes me want to go back to the shack in whiterun.
Thanks for the excessive amount of bookshelves in this house but how about replacing a few with chests or letting me stash non books on those shelves. Who has three shelves worth of books anyway? Nobody? Put 1 chest next to the potion maker and 2 next to the enchanter. Makes sense right? Who wants to go to a different room to get ingrediants or equipment and stones from a barrel? I hope the other houses are more efectivally disigned.

When the creation kit comes you can change this.
There is one chest in the Alchemy room.
One in your bedroom.
There are wardrobes and drawers you can use as chests for the moment.

downstairs
the cupboard by the stove i use for food
the satchel in the alchemy room for ingredients
the cupboard just out of that room for potions
upstairs
top of stairs for leathers, horns etc
before bedroom for ores
wardrobe in bedroom for apparel
chest for weapons
side table for jewellery

and i think thats it lol

upstairs in white run i use chest for misc items, left drawer for ingredients. drawer left of bed for crafted jewely im to lazy to sell. drawer right of bed for potions

The house in whiterun isn't to bad. But the house in solitude is gay. That's the house I'm talking about mostly. And I can't store anything but books in the alchemy/enchanting room except books unless I just toss everything on the floor.

I'm moving back to whiterun. Solitude is beautiful, the manicans you can put armor on are cool. But it's just not convienet to store things there.
