When trying to install Oblivion GoTY Edition I receive error -5004 0x8007002

Are you using the default installation path on Vista or Win7?

If so, install to some other location, such as C:\Games\Bethesda

You should also check the update status of your operating system, as that error code is specific to an OS error.
