Fallout DLC question

Post » Mon Dec 05, 2011 10:25 pm

First time posting/reading this forum so sorry if I am asking a already answered question. I bought two dlcs for Fallout New Vegas on a steam sale. Dead Money, and Honest Hearts. I spent a good amount of time beating Dead Money, which was hard as heck might I add, and then after a couple hours it ended. My character did not get saved, no new items/gear or anything. I was wondering if this was supposed to happen. Am I supposed to just beat the dlc and that is it? I mean it seems like a dumb concept to have a dlc that doesn't help your character in any way even after you beat it. You don't even get to keep your new level! So before I go on was this supposed to happen? And if so, will this happen with Honest Hearts? Are there any dlcs that will help my current character play through the game? I am going for a good record and wanting to complete a lot of the side quests and go through the story differently so I want to progress my character as much as I can. Thank you for any answers in advance!

So when you returned to the Mojave, you lost all your DM stats and items? If that's the case, no that's not meant to happen. :/

Yes after the dlc I got locked in the vault and it just went black. Was it a ending I got?

Yes. But it should reload to a previous save.

You either sprang the trap and locked yourself into the Vault or you let Elijah do whatever he wants and got stuck down there.

That's why DM svcks at times. It's confusing!
Stuff like this shouldn't happen in other add ons though.

Not trying to be a jerk but it does say what your doing before you do it, unless you just kept clicking, in which case it isn't good to skip dialogue. But what they said above is correct, you will keep EVERYTHING you obtain in dead money for use in the Mojave.
