Fast Shot & Trigger Discipline

FAST SHOT "Picture of dual wielding pistols"
ˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉ
Positive effects: +20% firing rate with Guns and Energy Weapons.
Negative effects: -20% accuracy with Guns and Energy Weapons.

TRIGGER DISCIPLINE "Picture of an Assault Rifle"
ˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉˉ
Positive effects: -20% firing rate with Guns and Energy Weapons.
Negative effects: +20% accuracy with Guns and Energy Weapons

So I selected both of em
but I'm confused did Bethesda & Obsidian goof

Or is based on Pistols & Assault Rifles type weapons

Which would make sense I guess otherwise I don't get it

It could be that they decided to use pistols in the picture for Fast Shot possibly because they are generally only semi-automatic to further 'highlight' the decrease of time between each shot and for the Trigger Discipline they showed an assault rifle because those usually have fully automatic firing modes again to 'highlight' taking a bit more time between shots to 'aim'.

i dont understand your question...

if you took them both...they would just cancel each other out....wasting 2 traits.

"guns" are guns....doesnt matter if its a pistol a smg or a riffle...they are all just guns.

Well, if they're multiplied together you'll be getting 96% of normal fire rate and 96% of normal accuracy. In other words, it's not a particularly useful combination of traits;)

EDIT: And yes, they both apply to the same weapons. You just shouldn't select them both at the same time.

If they do cancel each other out which makes no sense
It's a pretty big flaw then you should not be able to select and use em both then :brokencomputer:

How can that not make sense, one is subtracting 20 and the other is adding 20. Therefore making no impact whatsoever.
Although Langy may also be correct depending how they actually implement them in the coding and it actually makes you worse off.

The idea is you pick only one of those traits depending on your preference, accuracy vs fire rate.
