So i have had a series of unfortunate events lately as i started up the game on realease day i played a mage for a while. But didnt really like him. Then i did a stealth character and loved him but i was messing around with some mods and lost my saves :facepalm: so i decided to make a warrior character but should o go in 1h+shield or 2H. Im not much into duel so ya. What one is more benneficial, fun, etc.

Two-handed is pretty much just hit the guy. 1h+shield requires you to intelligently block and bash along with attacking. Overall I find 1h+shield to be more effective and satisfying in pretty much every way. Though sometimes I think maybe it is a little too good, usually after what should have been an epic fight and I just stun locked the enemy with shield bash the whole fight preventing the enemy from really accomplishing anything meaningful.

Yeah, I am still on my first character. Played through the Imperial questline. I am no veteran of TES games. Skyrim is my first. But my character is a Warrior specced to one-handed, block, and heavy armor. Shield bashing and a critical strike is awesome to watch. I think it is a fun play style.

In almost every game I play, I go dual-wielding. I also like 2 Handed Weapons.

Skyrim has changed me. Shields actually feel aggressive, brutal, and exciting. They're aren't like the shields of other RPG's where they are static defense boosters. My Nordic barbarian feels like a barbarian even with a shield! Running, charging, bashing, and then slicing off heads with an axe feels... Amazing.

I love shields! (In Skyrim at least)
