Ebony Blade

It seems like One-Handed skill effects the Ebony Blade even tho it is a Two-Handed weapon is this some sort of a glitch? also will the perks i put into Two-Handed even help the blade out for me?

While testing around with console I had tested this weapon as well and was having the same issues. It seems totally bugged and glitched in almost every way imaginable.
If I remember right the perks weren't even effect it at all only +% 1h enchants.

Just tested around with it on my test game save again. The damage of Ebony Blade is scaling off the skill two handed "skill", not one handed, however.... Barbarian (2h DMG Perk) does not effect DMG, but Armsman(1h DMG Perk) does effect Ebony Blade. Enchants seem to be same flip as the perks. 1h Enchants effect it, 2h doesn't.

Yeah I did a little testing on it myself, pretty strange. It was one handed in oblivion, seems like they changed it to two handed at the last minute but forgot to change the stats, scaling and swing speed to match.

My problem with it is that I killed four people I've done quests for, heard what's her faces voice twice, and it hasn't gone up by a single damage point.

Maybe if you kill someone you're married to?

Another interesting bug about Ebony Blade; when you turn into a werewolf with it equipped, your werewolf will draw out an one-handed katana when you draw out your claws.
There will also be a katana scarab on your waist.
Also, I've noticed that scarab remains on your waist after the transformation, but disappears after some time for some reason.
Ebony Blade should have it's model reduced a bit and turned into a proper one-handed weapon (it's effects and statistics suit it much better imo).

After further testing...

Spoiler
If you do kill your spouse, Mephala sounds off saying "Excellent work my child...". Stats remained same however. Correction, she sounded this off after I kill Lydia and Ysolda both, being married to Ysolda. Doesn't matter the order in which I kill the two, just after both. Another update: after killing two more companions she sounded off saying "I can feel their heartbreak swelling in my blade". Still no change noticable to stats on weapon. Another two companion kills: Their tears shine the ebony to a sharpest gleam. No change. Ok, after killing 10 she said it had returned to its full glory. No change in damage so my assumption is that only the enchant gets stronger.

So to get the full 'physical' damage you just need a high 2H skill?

Full physical for some reason is determined by 1H
