PS3 Destroyed

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 8:29 am

Hello,

I was hoping for some feedback since PlayStation wont reply to forum posts and their answer to everything is "pay 100$ and send it in."
I was loading a room in fallout 3 New Vegas and the game froze. I turned off the system by holding the power button at the front, re-loaded the game, same problem, only this time when I rebooted the system the game was missing. Now every game I try is also missing, everything else works perfect, the drive wont register games.... I went all over the net and tried almost every fix I could find, (soft reset, safe mode-options 3 and 4) I even borrowed a friends PS3 and tried to replace the whole blu-ray drive with his. I know other people are having the same problem, but still no support from PlayStation... (figures) has anyone successfully found a fix for this?

You could try to restore the PS3-System (last option). This should restore the very first state. Don't forget, all your savegames will be gone, so back them up (if possible and/or needed).

Try to repair your system files (via the recovery menu). If this doesn't help, you can also try to restore the PS3. But don't forget, the last option will erase all your data on the PS3!
