purchased all 4 DLC

Just as the title says. I purchased all 4 DLC when steam had it's sale. I fire up my game and try to pick up where I left off only to notice that my character is level 25 now, not the level 30 I had left him as.

Says my current quest is heartache by the number which honestly I did about a week before I reached level cap. My final save was at my house, with everything neatly organized and in preperation for DLC. I have almost 200 hours logged in with steam and all 50/50 achievements done when I took off. I wanted to play all 4 DLC in a row so I waited to purchase them at once, while on sale.

I don't understand why I have lost like 50-100 save files...

Sounds like a problem with Steam. Or like the correct file might actually still be on your computer.

The file with Heartache by the Number...is that an old save or do you save directly over your old saves?
If you save directly over old saves, no clue how that happened. If you make new, seperate saves and that old one was a seperate save, then definitely sounds like Steam. I once had issues with Fallout 3 like that. For some reason, Steam and Windows live games seemed to fight over where the saves would go. The result is that depending on whether I had both, neither, or one on the other running when I started the game, the game would reference different save files so the list of old saves would be different.

I would try hunting around in your documents a bit. It MIGHT still be in a file somewhere. Check around in both Steam's files and your own Documents. Can't remember how Fallout 3 split them, but I know my New Vegas files are under Documents/My Games/NV/Saves, and I -think- Steam has a similar folder that simply is never used by my computer.

On a side note, you can easily start Dead Money at level 25, then hit level 50 by the time you complete all the DLCs, if you were worried about the levels rather than the quest completions.
