Just have a quick question, anybody know the in-game font in Oblivion? Tried googling for it and all I got was this, basically:

Which isn't what I'm looking for. I'm talking about the font when like... you go to the Spellmaker Altar and you type in the name for the spell there, what font is that? Is it already on Windows?

(Couldn't think of anywhere else it's used, haven't paid attention to dialog options enough, lol.)

I think it's probably custom. I bet if you typed it on a document and played around with the fonts you'd find a pretty close match, but I'm not sure where you'd go to find out what it is in the first place. Maybe someone else knows more than me.

Yeah, I saw it was a custom made font perhaps but dunno if they were lying or not... hopefully someone else knows.

Look in the INI file. You will see a section listing the fonts used in the game.

This section can be edited to use custom fonts. Some mods do this (e.g., DarnUI I believe, and perhaps others). Also, there was a tool called Oblivion Font Gnerator that created/converted TrueType fonts. I use that instead of DarnUI, so my UI is somewhere between vanilla and Darn's.

The font you're looking for is called 'http://www.kingthingsfonts.co.uk/fonts/fonts.htm', I believe.
