How to talk to Paarthurnax?

Anyone Know how to talk to the dragon? I been fighting him for like 15 min now and he goes down but I can't talk to him.

You aren't supposed to fight him lol. He isn't an enemy.

LOL when I got up there he started to fight me so what did I do wrong?

You must have attacked a grey-beard or the dragon somehow on accident. I've done similar things with other quests.
