The most beautifully stunning area you've been to.

Alright thanks time to start main quest again lol..

You'll know you're almost there when you're sent to the College of Winterhold. I hope that's vague enough to not be a spoiler.

There's so many, but I would have to choose Blackreach.

Seeing the Aurora Borealis for the first time, illuminating the college of Winterhold.

Blackreach is absolutely jaw-dropping; I never expected anything like that. I still need to go back and explore the various sections -- I only realised it was so huge when I checked its wiki page after I completed the quest involved there.

Other than that, I love the entirety of The Rift; its tranquil feel evokes a sense of serenity I don't think I've ever felt in a game. Not in a long time, anyway.
Spoiler
And now that it's Imperial territory, I'm even considering buying property in Riften, even it is, quite honestly, a crime-ridden cesspool. Just bought Proudspire Manor, though, so I'll need to jazz up that place first. Beautiful home in a beautiful city.

Skyrim's art design is sublime and I haven't explored all of the map yet. I'm yet to visit Markath and by virtue of that, explore the surrounding regions.

Bloated Man's Grotto. It wasn't what I was expecting, and I kept wandering around just to look at the scenery from different angles.

City of Markarth...amazing design. First time I entered the place I just knew I had to go buy a house there.

Also that mountain near where you enter Labyrinthian...amazing.

I like the snowy parts, especially the path towards Winterhold directly from South, with the snow blown by the wind, very atmospheric. If you fast travel everywhere you are missing out big time. Some of the most scenic places you can't fast travel, you gotta walk or climb on foot.

Here is somewhere else..

and coming out of a dwemer ruin on somewhere:

It's a tough choice betwen the Bloated Man's Grotto and Blackreach for me.

I've yet to be disappointed in any region of Skyrim so far (60h in--barely scratched the surface though as still have at the very least 1/3 of outside world to explore and maybe done 20-25 dungeons at most). Sad thing is my favorite region probably has to be the huge Tundra valley west of Whiterun going towards Solstice--especially the more western/northwestern portions. Something about it just resonates with me a bit more than the others. Mountains may be more majestic, swamps more atmospheric, eastern woodlands more serene, etc but the Tundra is the focal point where most of them collide and has the greatest number of potential eye candy imo. Just a few examples I took today:

Dungeon wise... I haven't really done many and most of those are the simple caves/mines for most part. Looking forward to visiting some of the more elaborate and unique ones someday but having too much fun just exploring outside still. As it stands, my favorite I've been to has to be either the one for Azura's Star or quest after talking to the Greybeards for first time. Too many beautiful areas to explore, not enough time. I just want to take it all in but having a blast starting taking some screenshots of my adventures at least. For the past 2 days think I've spent more time playing around taking screenshots than progressing through the story or questing--sad but true. Rather enjoy it and think I'll have to look in to doing it a bit more often in other games as well.

i really like the departure from the rest of skyrim's scenery and it's really fun to wander and hunt in those woods.

Every time I see a new terrain area I feel this way, it's hard to say. One of the coolest things was the Eldergleam tree when you go to retrieve the sap to repair the sapling in Whiterun. That place was so cool.

Yeah, that place was amazing. I walked around for a while and just enjoyed the ambiance before I pressed on to the objective. I had one of those Crommmmmmmm moments from Conan the Barbarian hehe. It was definitely full of magic.
