I've been trying to find a way to make Morrowind combat enjoyable and have almost given up as it's so inherently flawed but I have an idea to kind of RP+cheese all the negatives away and would like your thoughts -
The main idea/goal of the character is to pretty much make his first strike the kill or at least incapacitate via knockdown. Will be sort of a sneaky dude, but instead of a dagger, a large high damage weapon. Really, why stab a guy when you could lop his head off from stealth just as easily? And of course, not using sneak because it's worthless and painfully slow in MW.
I am wondering what the best combination of cheese for this style is and here's my thinking so far -
Will be Dunmer just because I like 'em. I could consider Orc though, never played one and feel like they're under-appreciated/played
Sign probably Atronach just for cheese
Magic since that'll make up most of my major skills and because failing spells svcks
Major
Axe for high damage and axe murderer style points, will use a 2h
Conjuration for using summons to absorb their spells to replenish magicka and/or absorb health from. Use summons to distract/escape from enemies I can't take in melee. + Can use bound weapons until I get a good one - and let's face it bound weapons are pretty cheesy and overpowered at low level which is what this character is all about.
Illusion for invisibility - getting into close range unharmed and getting the first strike
Light Armor, as I just like it better.
Restoration to combine short duration high fortify strength and maybe agility for short period combined with invisibility for devastating damage w/first strike. And, of course, to heal.
Minor
Alteration just for mobility, want to have water walking and open locks and levitate over mountains
Enchant for making on use machine gun fire damage rings just for killing aerial pests without wasting mana.
Mysticism for teleports, telekinesis if I feel the need to steal stuff with it. Absorb health is nice too.

Not sure about the last two minors. Destruction? Dunmer get a boost to it, but I guess it's pretty much obsolete compared to on use enchants. Though I could say that for every type of magic... Could take security just for probing stuff maybe... o_o Alchemy is nice too although it's kind of tedious.
