Critical Charge Perk (glitch)

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 2:05 am

So I just picked up the perk Critical Charge under the 1-Handed tree. Afterwards I proceeded to a nearby dungeon as part of a quest, and began to work my way inside. The first enemy I came upon was a bandit archer, who I then charged and while sprinting, held down my power attack and released it when I got close. The attack then went into a kill animation and the target was instantly dead. However, once the animation was over and I attempted to move my character I noticed something strange. My character was stuck in a permanent sprint, no matter what I tried to do.

I figured "oh well, just a small glitch, I'll restart from the last save (beginning of the dungeon) no big deal." I tried the same exact approach [5] more times in order to see if this was apart of the perk or just a one time error. Turns out no matter what target I choose, anytime I hold down sprint and used a power attack to kill an enemy that results in a kill animation, my character remains in a permanent state of sprint.

I kind of feel disappointed in that I have a wasted perk talent as it stands.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Same thing, although not as bad. Basically, I keep charging till the person I charged is dead. So typically this means that I keep running into them swinging my axe. Mashing forward/back seems to get me out of it pretty quick.

I know how you feel this annoys the hell out of me, waste all stamina on one guy, what do you do for the rest?
