Listen to what he says in the first 2 minutes of the video about inviting experienced Mortal Kombat Players in to help them build the game and find imbalance issues with the game such as "being able to pull off a combo when they shouldnt."

Anyone else not think FPS devs should start doing this? maybe actually listen to their community?

Well Dont know about the rest of you but this game is definetely on my buy list.

Crytek, Dice, Infinity ward who ever!

take notes.

i think that's what a BETA is for?
but, as rumor has it, in this game the BETA ran better than the "finished" product.
ah, the mysteries of life.

They already have something like this. C2 had this, it was the Beta and Demo. They didnt listen and made matters worse.

Worse connections, cloak doesn't cloak anymore (it's soo obvious now its rendered useless), armor is useless, melee is a joke when you have two people running around each other in circle spamming the right anolog, plus the other 40+ issues that have been listed on this forum.

Sorry a public beta does not compare to this hands on approach as clearly indicated in the final product as our comments on the beta obviously had no effect on the outcome.

Phrase it however you like, fact is they did not listen to their community, infact from the very start they didnt listen to their community on the PC base from Crysis 1.

Dont know why developers these days think they are going to achieve COD style sales with more acessible gameplay and by copying the COD formula, COD sells well because of its brand name which was established with extravagant marketing not because its a good game.

At least Infinity Ward have useful patches, what do we get? ONE PATCH, and all that did was tell us something about the 3-D.

I played the beta extensively and in both my opinion, and the opinion of my friends, it was superior.

There are probably various reasons which explain this eg. less people playing so matchmaking wasnt under as much strain; reduced quality textures etc

Either way, it definitely went down hill from there. The demo was a mess and I found it unplayable. The only reasons I bought the final release were that I got it cheap, and I was a big fan of Crysis 1 - so had faith (obviously misplaced) in Crytek to deliver. It seemed impossible to me that with all the feedback they were getting they could mess it up...

I always assumed every studio got experienced players in during production? It seems like such an obvious thing to do. If that's not the case, then no wonder so many games are being released with problems.

Do studios still even use testers to find bugs/glitches etc before release? lol... because either Crytek didnt bother, or their testers were all blind/deaf, or they just ignored everything their testers said.

I left a detailed report during the beta testing which referred to a lot of the problems that are so prevalent in the final release. There were many other people who did the same. Either they didnt bother reading the feedback (defeats the purpose of asking for it), or they did read it, but didnt have the capability to improve the game any further.

I'd rather the release date had been set back to next year so they could've done the game justice.
