I'm able to buy a house.

Can you drop stuff there without having it disappear? This is my main reason for buying one.

Is it furnished?

If not, can you furnish it? (probably through mods like they did in Oblivion).

If you put items in any chests or containers in your house, they will stay there forever and you can come back to pick them up whenever.

When you first buy the houses there isn't really much in it except a bed and a chest, but you can purchase upgrades for it if you so wish.
