Nightingale Gear

Does anybody know the official scaling of the Nightingale blade, armor, and bow? Also if anybody knows the scaling of any other specific leveled items please add that as well. Thanks in advanced. :)

all scaled items are listed on the UESP (which is better):
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Leveled_Items

ANd I find it horrible that there even are level scaling quest rewards that at higher levels are amazing gear.......what were you thinking Bethesda?!? this is what made Oblivion svck.

Yeah I checked there before but I can't seem to see where it says what level you must be for each stat boost.

Also I can see how people hate it. I personally don't mind it though, because after doing all that work leveling up for it the gear will feel that much more rewarding when I get it.

From what i've seen, you need to be level 50 before you get the best version....see the problem now with scaled items.

....What?? You've got to be [censored] kidding.... After all the moaning that Beth must have seen on these forums... they're STILL doing that garbage?? I don't want to peek at the items. I hate spoilers, but I don't want to be stuck with awesome gear that is less than it's potential.

So, there is definitely armor/weapons that stay locked at the armor rating/damage that they were at when you received them?? That's awful.

i'll just give you the hint that many of the items on that list are theives guild related, so if you aviod that guild you'll miss most of the levelled stuff.

Yeah Im pissed off about it, since I didnt find out they were levelled till after i had them.....and I had wanted to use those items till the end of game then....and i only had the 3rd version out of 6. And I was levels 20-25 when I got them.

what you said doesn't make sense because you can craft glass and ebony as soon as you have the perk spent.

Whats the smithing tree got to do with level scaled quest rewards? I want an artifact that will be powerful whenever I get it, not just powerfull for a couple of levels if I happened to get too early.....just make the quest to get it harder.

This is disappointing, looks like i need to get another quest reward leveler. :(

But anywho, for the sake of everyone and research i will see which set i have that i got at around lvl 25. Brb while i start up the game and check.

E:

Nightingale Armor +30 Stamina +30% Frost Resistance
Nightingale Gloves +20% Lock picking +20% One-Handed
Nightingale Hood -15% Mana for Illusion Spells
Nightingale Boots I have no idea, it just says "Wearer is muffled and moves silently" doesn't show a percentage, however i am guessing it would be the same tier as the others.

I think level 35+ is when the gear maxes out. Could be wrong.

It doesn't tell you what level you need to be to get the right weapon though, it is a stupid system, I'm quite a high level (58+ can't remember atm), so will I get the best of these?

Never really gotten why people get so worked up about it. But, then, I don't really have that big "min/max" impulse when playing TES games.... same with not really caring about reading the wiki or hint books for the series, even though I'm all over things like that in other games.

You people honestly expected different after oblivions scaled rewards? Personally i like it this way, if the content is going to scale to you, then so should the gear otherwise you can do thieves guild between levels 1-6 and be set for life. Now that would be horrible design, but people will find something to cry about no matter what.

Is there any evidence of the armor scaling with your level?

For example:

You get the armor at level 15, and the armor gives you +20 stamina.
Then, when you hit level 35 the armor scales up and gives you +40 stamina.

This is how it SHOULD work in my opinion. I know this was done with the Knights of the Nine armor in the Oblivion DLC, so maybe they came to their senses and implemented a system like this in Skyrim.

No it shouldnt. How dumb do you have to be to think that level scaling is a good idea. That was the most hated feature in Oblivion

The idea described, that your armour could scale with you instead of being locked at the level you found it, is a good idea; calling him 'dumb' won't change that.

Gear needs to either scale with you, including after you find it, or simply be harder to get. IIRC Umbra in Oblivion wasn't scaled, which meant getting it early in the game was an achievement, and rightly set you up for life. The problem is, with random events such as dragons, you need level scaling; you can't just avoid them like you could a high levelled area, although they should always scale in a way which puts them at least 10% ahead of you in level.

I suppose, that creating mod to fix this won't be hard. Hell if noone makes anything, I will for sure.

The gear does not scale once you have acquired it.

there is no level requirement for weapons but if you think you can wield a heavy war hammer without the proper proficiency you need to think about it
