Can't fine "The greencroft residence"

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 9:51 am

I just got out of Privateers hold and survived a Ghost attack in Daggerfall City. so i decide to sign up with the mage's guild and do a quest. it told me to go to Vanbridge to find "Dunyctor Greencroft" who should be in the "greencroft residence" but no one in Vanbridge seems to know where the person is nor can i even ask about the house she should be in. So i decided i would randomly run around trying to open doors and most are locked and the ones that let me never have greencroft in there. Any help on finding her so i can get these bloody research notes for the guild would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Just noticed the typo in the title. Supposed to say "find" not "fine"

If you find the right house and click on the door, it'll become marked on your house as the greencroft residence.

If you click on "where is" then "people" you should be able to ask about the person, if not, the the residence will be under "where is" "locations" "general" I'm pretty sure.

If you're asking and no one knows, keep asking different people. Or try switching between polite and blunt.

If you use the "info mode" (F3) a lot of houses might turn into "residences" (and one will be the "greencroft residence"). But using the 3 dialogue options, as outlined by hamsmagoo, is far and away the best way to find anybody/anyplace.

(You might also double check that you're actually in Vanbridge).

Sometimes quest residences are locked 24/7. The only way of going in is to picklock or bashing the door open. Make sure you save first to avoid being arrested. :P

Many thanks for the reply's everyone. I managed to find Dunyctor by asking around for a while. A random citizen managed to mark the residence on my map for me. Found the man and completed the quest.
