I really hope that at some point in the future after elder scrolls skyrim is released that the game developers will decide on making a elder scrolls game as a online rpg mmo game for the following reasons.

1. you already have several well established races, character classes, ablilities, and would only need to add secondary skills like foraging, mining, and cooking

2 . even though I have only played oblivion I would like to explore alot more of tamriel which you can only do so much in a single player game

3. oblivion gave the player choices to make in the game which effected how others liked the character you got to play with which is part of making a good game

4. would like to see the game be rated teen which would bring in a wide group of people

5. need another really good fantasy rpg mmo game with a original story

6. would like the game to be a open would game much like rift and lord of the rings that has a good crafting system and talent tree

7. world of warcraft was for awhile a exciting and fun game to play but now I think youy all can make a better mmo game

I wouldn't like an online Elder Scrolls game because we wouldn't be able to mod it. Modding is what makes Morrowind and Oblivion unique.

But, if one were to be made, it would likely be made by Zenimax, not Bethesda. And an Elder Scrolls game that's not made by Bethesda is just not interesting to me.

This. There is a company called "Zenimax Online Studios" which I believe is developing an online game based off one of gamesas's owned titles.
