TES6 Wishlist

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 9:42 am

This thread want to be a collection of all the wishes and feature request for the sixth chapter of this game.
Since we don't really know where it will be placed we should limit our wishes to technical ones, leaving the lore ones for later.

I'll try to update the list as you post your suggestions. So here mine:

  • Fancier Physic Engine ( e.g. Euphoria or better )
  • Localized damage
  • Combat Body Reactions ( i.e. enemies bumps, falls, react when you hit them )
  • Emotion engine ( i.e. when an NPC is scared, from voice acting for example, it should also look scared )
  • Survival Instinct ( i.e. when a NPC feels danger it should react by running for cover or duck or asking mercy )
  • Stairs animation ( walking up and down the stairs )
  • Climbing system ( stairs / cliffs )

From MythicalCreatures777: ( aren't these a bit World of Warcrafty ? :D )

  • Flying Mounts
  • Dual Spec
  • Cheat codes
  • Ability to get haircuts
  • Armor Dyes
  • The Sims house customization engine
  • Mudkipz

From Silverhammer:

  • Technology has come far by then, the region is Tamriel as a whole
  • Set 200 years after the events of Skyrim
  • Crossbows, spears, levitation, mark and recall are back
  • Dremora and Falmer are added as playable races
  • Available mounts: Horses, dragons and Silt Striders
  • You can see areas from previous games now that you're in Tamriel, like remains of an Oblivion gate, or the Shrine of Akatosh
  • The original guilds for Cyrodill, Morrowind and Skyrim
  • Other, more fun guilds like the Swimming Guild in Black Marsh, the Hiking Guild in High Rock, the Hunter Guild in Summerset Isles, Necromancer Guild, Speech Guild, Smithing guild
  • Carriages available as fast travel, you can just sit on them and enjoy the ride, or fast forward

Others:

  • Collision based attacks, not crosshair based. (Maegfaer)
  • Interactions with other people. Hold hands, hug and things like that. (Gwynbleidd)
  • Hook and rope system as implementation suggestion for climbing ( TheDogBiter )
  • Divisible currency (gold and silver coin) ( TheDogBiter ) * This one should be checked with the Lore
  • Ability to set traps with trip wires, pressure plates ( TheDogBiter )
  • Optional quest markers, but longest and better detailed quest directions ( TheDogBiter ) * This is one of my favorite!

go on :D

I'm 99% sure TES IV will be on next-gen consoles, so I'm hoping for some great stuff. I do believe we'll see Fallout 4 this gen though. Main thing I would like is the combat reactions you mentioned, but I think it's kind of hard to implement without making combat easy (a.k.a Assassin's Creed).

It's time to do away with "cells". I want EVERYTHING to stream in seamlessly. We probably wont get TESVI untill 2015-2017 at the rate the series moves, so thats not too far fetched I think.

Thats what I want the most. Not a singal loading screen.

TES5 hasn't come out yet. And you are talking about TES6 already? Then you should probably go and stick your head in the sand for 5 years. ;)

Well it depends, maybe it will be easier to kill headless zombies and bandits but for example a giant or a mammoth ( skyrim example of big creatures ) won't budge from your hits :D
Also ghosts and ethereal creatures won't be affected, basically I think it's doable.

you mean you want "dice rolling" to see if an attack lands? ( like morrowind )
while I understand your point ( I'm a big RPG fan... the table ones, Vampires, D&D, L5R, GURPS and so on )
I don't believe that may be the future of TES :D

[*]Fancier Physic Engine ( e.g. Euphoria or better ) -- The one in Skyrim is pretty impressive, but I agree that there's still room for improvement
[*]Localized damage -- Good idea
[*]Combat Body Reactions ( i.e. enemies bumps, falls, react when you hit them ) -- Already in
[*]Emotion engine ( i.e. when an NPC is scared, from voice acting for example, it should also look scared ) -- Already in (since oblivion even)
[*]Survival Instinct ( i.e. when a NPC feels danger it should react by running for cover or duck or asking mercy ) -- Already in
[*]Stairs animation ( walking up and down the stairs ) -- Since it'll be an open world game it'll be too potentially conflicting to include
[*]Climbing system ( stairs / cliffs ) -- As above

A thorough focus on the Relationships and Marriage system- whereas they may have reactions to quests, important characters, areas, and they might even have unique solutions to certain situations. (such as influences on other NPC's, but without limiting the Players options if the companion is not present) And I shouldn't have to mention plenty of character quirks, funnies, emotions, and individualism. :)

As you can already talk about TES-VI, if not even TES-V was released?
That I can not understand.
In addition, it will probably take several years before TES-VI will be released really.

And as for the original question:
Interactions with other people. Hold hands, hug and things like that.

Already In stuff don't bother me, this is a wishlist for the next TES, it means I want that in TES 6. If it's already in TES 5 ( or 4 ) good, that means I want that improved.
Emotion Engine for example is not "already in" it is only a "facial expression engine" not a "full body emotion engine", that can be improved.
Combat Body Reactions in skyrim are poor if compare to other games ( Uncharted for example ) so it can be improved in TES 6 :)
Survival Instinct also can be improved, I agree that's already in.
Stairs animations and climbing can be difficult to achieve however don't forget that technical difficulties can be solved with experience and effort.

on a serious note i want more... i will always want more. bethesda does not disappoint.

on a less serious note, i hope they add turn based fighting, babies who can then also have babies, frankensteins, mech suits, more fetch quests, hip hop music, and bills... oooh i really want to play a game where all i do is pay bills. marsupials, the ability to fart (fable is so awesome, i heard in the new one you actually [censored] yourself), and last but not least erectile dysfunction pill adds... not for in game use, like actual advertising for phizzer or whoever the hell is selling cockrocket pills in 2012 when tes six "a dolphin tale" comes out. that is all... if i think of more ill be sure not to post them as this is a waste of your time.

Fair enough

I think I'd want TES 6 to be released soon (1-2 years) and to be more of an action game than a RPG. A bit like Redguard, just to make the story move on and provide a platform for TES: VII

I would love a climbing system, although I don't think that's an easy addition. What would be cool is maybe a hook and rope system to make it. I'd also like divisible currency (gold and silver coin). I also would like specialty shops and more shops over all. It would also be cool (although extreamy difficult) would be the ability to set traps with trip wires, pressure plates, but I think that would be too difacult to implement that into a skill sccsessfuly. I also want the ablity to remove quest markers. I would like more detailed discriptions of where to go and what to do and not just a marker that says "go here"

Larger world with a day's travel between cities, allowing the DF fast travel system to be used.
