With the arrival of Skyrim soon to be in our grasps, is it not now the time for the Elder scroll classics to be reborn on various consoles with online capabilities?. Im not saying remake them just put them on a retail disc as they are or on an online console service. I would like peoples opinion on this because im sure im not the only one who hasn't experinced 1,2 or battlespire before introducing themself to the Elder Scroll series in the form of Morrowind. :tes:
Because the first two games are far too PC and more importantly RPG mechanic oriented to be re-implemented on consoles and play well which would call for almost a whole new game in itself. Plus it'd also be something to buy.
In which case it's freely available for PC, is cheap to buy online, and I own both. I bought Arena a few days after launch in 94.
It'd be a major time and cost sink to bring a console-friendly version stripped bare. Which is why I doubt it'd happen. And as Arena and Daggerfall fans are the minority currently, even if they were popular in the RPG genre in the 90s and not really "indie", they'd far from take it well.
I think i understand where your coming from, perhaps i should leave the classics as happy memories to be studed on youtube by noobs like me and concentrate on playing Skyrim. thx for your imput, i appreciate it. :user:
