So i don't really know the best place to put this, so i guess il put it here.

im just gonna say hi basically, and ask where the best place to get information about the Elder Scrolls, you know general knowledge, lore, that sorta thing.

I'm 18 so i didn't get the chance to play any of the The Elder Scrolls games previous to Morrowwind, i didn't play morrowwind either come to think of it, well...about 30mins of it when i got a loan of an old xbox. So i have basically only played Oblivion, i listened to the main story, but didnt really delve into the countless amount of knowledge and side stories that were in it, i couldn't be bothered (i just wanted to kill stuff). Now, since i'm older. i have felt a sudden need to get more into the side stories. But after playing through oblivion again, shivering isles, getting all the acheivments. Xbox decided to give me an update that broke my hard drive. So i lost all my progress and couldnt bear to go through it all again. Granted i got a new xbox for my birthday because of it, but i still cant believe i lost so much gametime on oblivion.

So yeah, i am a big Elder Scrolls fan, but haven't looked into it as much as i should have(sorry) hopefully someone here can point me in the right direction, away from n00bish ignorance, and into knowledgeable bliss.This count for all games leading from the first Elder Scrolls, to Oblivion.

The Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages is probably the most comprehensive online site resource around. There you will find links to just about anything you could possibly want to know about the series. Anything you can't find, someone here may know, so if you can't find what you're looking for there just ask here. ;(

UESP is fantastic for all your in-game knowledge, and is the perfect place to find help with quests, info on items, NPCs, etc.

For lore, however, UESP is just subpar. Sometimes it has mistakes here and there, and, in general, it doesn't have a whole lot of information. The best way to get started learning TES lore is probably the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1112211-how-to-become-a-lore-buff/ thread here on the forums, made by Lady Nerevar. http://www.imperial-library.info/ is also a must-know location if you want to look for something specific.

Beyond that, there's always the Elder Scrolls Lore section of the forums, where the greatest lore buffs reside.
