So I'm going to get this game as soon as I can, please have pity that I don't already, but I was wondering if there is an advantage of one gender over the other? I'm a huge fan of Fallout 3 and New Vegas, and I always felt like the girls had more of an advantage speech wise, as well as more unique situations arising? Thoughts?

There′s no advantage to any gender.

HOWEVER, both male and female chars wave their hips like on a catwalk when running; it′s really annoying from an aesthetics point of view, but more acceptable when you play a female char, for obvious reasons.

Well... there is definitely an advantage for female characters... but first you need to complete a quest, i won't spoil it for you

Maybe there is something like that for males as well... i dunno.
