Can PS3 Owners get their money back?

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 4:47 pm

Um, people are talking about MAJOR issues after their save file is greater than 5mb/8mb. Serious issues that make them WANT TO RETURN THE GAME.

IGN even posted an article asking their readers if they're having issues, and, according to numerous comments, they are. I think there are about 1,000 comments.

I've been reading NOTHING but negative things about the PS3 version.

So yes, the game is incomplete, broken and unfinished for PS3 users. The fact people are screaming at them saying, "WAIT FOR A PATCH YOU TROLL!" is ridiculous. They have every right to be pissed and Beth should be held accountable for rushing the PS3 version out the door.

I have this for 360 and PC now. My problem is gamers who have legitimate complaints get tossed under the bus for either being a troll, cheap, whinny with no critical reasons why they are wrong.

The game is broken on PS3, but you're wrong about it being unfinished and incomplete.

Well, these problems can't be that bad. Not enough to return the game. I wouldn't think so anyway. Then again, I am a hardcoe fan who has been waiting since Oblivion's end for this to come out. I would just be patient and wait for a patch; that's me though. if it makes people feel better to grab their pitch forks and torches and raid the Bethesda castle, then go for it. It's you who is losing out when a patch gets released to fix these problems. Keep the game or not keep the game, it's no skin off my sack.

I don't know what you're [censored]ing about! I am having a blast with my copy.

Btw, you do have to consider that the release of a game is technically the last stage of testing. The get most of the bugs in the studio, then let the rest of the populace find and report any problems with the game and then release a patch for those problems that need fixing. Perhaps you should have waited 3 months to get your copy instead of getting the game at release and whining like a baby about how Bethesda has just ruined your life. If anything, they have brought excitement and light into the hearts of many fans.

If you don't like it, then by all means take it back to the store and get your money back. Just please stop crying about it.

He's complaining about what thousands of other PS3 owners are. I have both PC/Xbox version thank goodness. Since you didn't know that perhaps it's best you reply to topics that you have some knowledge of. The rest of your post confirms you are a complete idiot.

Once again, another ignorant Xbox fan comes to pick on someone who doesn't feel the same way as everyone else.

First off, I do have experience with Bethesda games and know about all of the troubles, bugs and so on that some of these games bring.

Second, how can you call me an idiot for having a difference of opinion about the issue? That's what it is, it's an opinion and everyone has one. I have just as much right to express it. Also, you people are doing nothing but [censored]ing about the game in continueous repostings of the same issue. That's all I see on here. I have yet to read a positive and chipper thread about this game. I for one am having a blast, svcks that many of you are not.

Now I know why I didn't come back to this forum for a while. MOST, not all of you are negative childeren who have nothing better to do than to jump down someone's throat and insult them when they have a difference of opinion. Time to grow up, kids!

Sorry typing this on a digital kb. I own an original 80 gb fat PS3 with an upgraded 750 gd hd. I posted my specs in case i am just an anomaly. I have had 0 problems with the PS3 version of this game. I am either very lucky or these are 360/pc owners trolling these same threads repeatedly to discourage PS3 owners. If this is not the case maybe these PS3 gamers are not properly maintaining their systems. I simply don't see it.

This. I haven't had any problems at all yet.

@OP: You'll have to contact whoever you purchased the game from, no one here can give you a refund.

I'm sure the patch in a week or so will primarily address issues like you and others have..

Wait for it. This is a great game. I hope they put patching not new content as their number one priority at least for the next couple of months

It is an absolute disgrace that people bought this for £40/$60 and it's is blatantly broken.

It's an absolute disgrace that people expect a game with over 500 hours of unique gameplay to be flawless on day 1. My friend has it for PS3 and it runs just fine and has few bugs, so it's not "blatantly broken."

They have already announced the first patch will come out in just over a week, so wait for that.

This is reprehensible. It's a recurring theme between Bethesda and the PS3, though, and that's the biggest issue.

I've had a friend already return his copy because it's just not playable and he's tired of this happening to him just because he decided to not buy it for his XBOX360. I don't know what Microsoft is paying for the exclusivity deals, but it makes you look like a joke in my eyes when you ignore a platform like this time and time again, Bethesda.

True with online games.
Never have been and never should be true with console games.

Console = finished product. It isnt a market where you can safely assume your target has internet, so you should NEVER rely on post-release patching.

Its really REALLY crappy that you cannot play the game you bought. I have the PS3 version and I would be rightly upset as well if mine was having these issues.

But the reality of it is, the game IS fantastic. It WILL be fixed.

There is a huge circlejerk of hate in the ps3 subforum if you want to complain but please keep it out of general, as we have a game to talk about here.

And the majority of people here are on PC or X360, and really REALLY don't want to have this forum clogged up by complaints.
